ACA International is constantly working to bring you the best member benefits possible by actively engaging in initiatives that enhance your professional journey.
Here is some of what we’ve been up to lately:
- Meeting Innovations: ACA has curated the educational content for our upcoming ACA HOW Revenue Growth Summit March 12-14 in response to member feedback that you want practical strategies to increase revenue. We put together sessions with expert speakers that show you HOW to overcome your pain points and grow profits. Learn more and register here.
- Organize, Prioritize and Remind: We recently implemented a new function on our website: the My ACA Assistant. This is a customized page just for you that can help you manage your profile, view subscriptions and event registrations, access Training Zone items, and more. Check it out right here.
- Enhanced Education Products: ACA’s education department recently created a Hot Topics bundle program, enabling you to conveniently purchase pre-assembled bundles of multiple Hot Topic webinars that fall under the same category and educational requirement when shopping in the ACA Store. Additionally, all Innovation Stage Online webinars are now available to non-ACA members for free. More info on this will be coming soon, so stay tuned! In the meantime, plan ahead for your education registration by visiting the ACA events page here.
- Sharing Member Input on FCRA Changes: ACA was significantly involved in Small Business Review Panel meetings with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on the Fair Credit Reporting Act proposals—we even got two of our members on the panel. The resulting feedback showed that more time and data are needed for the FCRA rulemaking. Learn more.
- Submitting Comments on FCRA Changes: ACA submitted a comprehensive response to the CFPB’s proposed changes to the FCRA through formal comments and a letter to Congress. We continue to collect member input to inform our comments when the CFPB releases a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking or other proposals related to the FCRA. Learn more.
- Creating New Ways to Share Advocacy Information: To keep members in the loop on advocacy efforts and opportunities, ACA created the quarterly Advocacy Voice newsletter, with the next edition coming out in February. It highlights trends in state and federal government affairs and how you can help amplify our voice with lawmakers. ACA also developed an Advocacy Book, which covers legislation and regulations we’re tracking and industry insights for you to use in meetings with legislators. An updated version of the Advocacy Book is coming soon—keep an eye on your email inbox for the announcement! Subscribe to member alerts here to receive the Advocacy Voice newsletter and ACA Daily for other advocacy updates.
- Responding to Concerns About Call Blocking: ACA created a resource on our website to help members understand how they can work with their phone carrier and telecom providers to increase the chances of their legitimate calls getting through. Learn more.
- Announcing a New Insurance Policy: Representatives from Collectors Insurance Agency and ACA attended the Receivables Management Association International Annual Conference earlier this month, where they unveiled the new professional liability insurance policy for debt buyers. This policy is specifically intended to cover passive debt buyers for claims arising out of vicarious liability when engaging the services of collection agencies and attorneys. Learn more.
