ACA International’s return to Chicago for the 2023 Fall Forum kicked off with the Visionaries Conference, an engaging two days of business networking, career empowerment and personal growth for professionals in the accounts receivable management industry.
Following the highly anticipated Dinner with Strangers on Tuesday night, on day two attendees participated in educational sessions led by ACA board members, members of the Women in Collections Resource Committee, ACA staff and other industry experts.
Kelli Krueger, ACA’s director of education, and Ashley Campanella, senior customer success manager at Arbeit, started the day with a session on discovering the path to living a vibrant, fulfilled life by embarking on a transformative journey of self-discovery and personal empowerment.
Following that, Teri Plunket, ARNM, LLC, and Kristen Rowles, vice president of organizational development and training at CBE Companies, led a session outlining the tools needed to create and maintain connections that drive personal and professional success.
Exploring the concept of owning your inner strength, Megan Hebert, president and COO at Specialized Collection Systems, discussed the game-changing power of authenticity and why it’s imperative to embrace our true selves rather than follow someone else’s narrative.
The afternoon brought in Courtney Reynaud, president of Creditors Bureau USA, and Debra Ciskey, IFCCE, CCCO, senior compliance advisor at ARM Compliance Business Solutions, for a lesson on the emotional, mental and physical factors of personal growth.
Concluding the sessions at Visionaries, Cortney Helfrich, chief personnel officer at Wilbur Group, and Linda Dameron, director of consumer accounting at Crown Asset Management, LLC, presented a session that helped attendees develop their personal brand to stand out and make a lasting impact.
Cocktails with a Kick
Closing out Visionaries, participants joined a fun and interactive session that let them unleash their inner warrior. Clint Cloys, a martial arts expert with a passion for equipping individuals with practical skills to navigate real-life situations, taught fundamental self-defense moves in a welcoming and engaging environment. Afterwards, attendees were invited to sip on cocktails and enjoy light snacks.
In the evening, the Visionaries group joined Fall Forum exhibitors, speakers, and attendees in the Expo Hall to kick off Fall Forum, scheduled through Nov. 10.
Fall Forum’s main stage features Leah Dempsey, shareholder at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP, Brian Johnson, managing director at Patomak Global Partners, and ACA’s CEO Scott Purcell, who will provide essential insights into the latest CFPB developments and what actions you can take to stay ahead of these changes.
This year’s event also features education and business solutions in more than 25 breakout sessions, such as:
- Revenue Accelerator: Unleashing Growth and Financial Success
- Health Care Revolution: Innovations in Managing Medical Debt
- Legal Mastery: Navigating the ARM Industry’s Complex Legal Landscape
- And more!
More information about sessions and ACPAC’s nightcap social event are available on the Fall Forum website.
The 2023 Visionaries conference was made possible by this year’s Diamond sponsor, CCMR3. ACA would also like to give a special shout-out to Visionaries’ supporting sponsors: Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schrek, Arbeit Software and ARM Compliance Business Solutions.
