Here are some important dates and deadlines to put on your calendar:
- Safeguards Rule Amendment Compliance Deadline: Non-bank financial institutions have a new data breach disclosure requirement effective May 13. Learn more.
- Share Your Feedback on the Work of Federal Agencies: The White House Office of Management and Budget is collecting public feedback through May 17. It’s asking for ideas on how federal agencies can become more effective, consistent, and equitable in public engagement. Learn more.
- Comment on Department of Education Student Loan Debt Relief: The Department of Education has issued its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking outlining revised plans for the Biden administration’s student loan debt relief. The proposal would modify the department’s existing debt collection regulations. ACA is reviewing the proposal to file possible comments, which are due May 17. Learn more.
